Star Trek Online Open Beta Begins Jan 12

Atari and Cryptic have finally announced the Open Beta dates for their upcoming MMO game Star Trek Online. The Open Beta starts from January 12 and will extend till January 26. The game is set to release in February 2010.

Star Trek online is set in 2049 where you're caption of the ship and take missions to the depth of the space. This game features Total Customization technology that enables customizable right from customization to color but will retain its "Star Trek" look. This game is built on Cryptic Engine that was used in Champions online.

Users willing to participate need to sign-up at the official website - http://www.startrekonline.com. Keys for Open Beta would be given out on a first come first served basis.
