Child Actor, Brian Bonsall is probably best known to sci-fi fans as Alexander Rozhenko, the son of the Enterprise's Klingon Security Officer, Lt. Worf, from Star Trek: The Next generation. To Colorado police he's an alleged perp who was arrested on assault charges for repeatedly hitting a friend with a wooden chair (or stool).
The child star first hit it big as the youngest member of the Keaton family, on the hit TV show Family Ties (1986-1989), which starred Michael J. Fox. He then went on to appear on another iconic show, Star Trek: The Next Generation as Lt. Worf's son, from 1992 to 1994, when the the show was cancelled.
Bonsall's family moved from California to Colorado, where in the mid-1990's Bonsell retired from acting to go to high school. After High school he started a rock band, and slowly began to spiral out of control. The cute, fresh face little boy, grew a five o'clock shadow and covered himself in tattoos, immersing himself in the LA punk scene.
According to the AP, Bonsall was arrested Saturday and appeared in court yesterday for another case which involved a probation violation for a 2007 assault case against him for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. The judge decided to postpone the hearing in order to consider both cases at the same time.
Bonsall, now 28, is being held on bail for $7,500.
