The Riverside Metropolitan Museum may not be the final frontier, but it could play host this summer to the biggest Star Trek exhibition in existence. Museum officials are asking the City Council to spend $75,000 to bring "Star Trek the Exhibition: Where Science Meets Science Fiction" to the museum for a run that would last from June 15 through February 2011. The exhibition includes props, costumes, memorabilia and more from the five television series and 11 films in the Star Trek franchise. It would be customized to fit into the downtown museum, where officials project it would draw 40,000 visitors and take in $800,000. http://www.pe.com/localnews/stories/PE_News_Local_W_wb25_exhibit.2eef55f.html
