An unreleased version of the original Star Trek pilot, featuring an alternative monologue by William Shatner, will be included on the Star Trek: The Original Series Season 3 Blu-ray set.
The recently found version of the episode, titled “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” also includes different theme music and closing credits, according to a press release issued Friday. Obtained from Magic Picture Home Entertainment, the alternative version will be just one of the bonus features on the $119 Blu-ray set, which hits stores Dec. 15.
