After the update the audience was treated to a look at a video that was done as a memorial to Eugene's mother Majel Roddenberry. It was a beautiful tribute that feature Majel at all stages of her life. After the video, a few surprise guests took the stage to talk about Majel.
Carel Struycken

Carel talked about the first time he did a "Star Trek" convention, Majel invited him to attended. Carel had no idea what to expect. Majel told him to find himself a table, set down and see what happens. Of course, he was signing autographs for a while.
Eugene had earlier mentioned that his mother never sat in a separate room, or in the back, she sat up front and signed for several hours sometime. Always taking time to talk to fans.
Kevin Sorbo (Andromeda)

Kevin took the stage to great applause. He told his story of being called by Majel and asked to read two scripts for "Andromeda". He, of course, ended up doing the TV show.
