Star Trek a top Blu-ray disc seller at retail

Paramount Pictures' Star Trek Blu-ray disc SKU ranked as the top-selling Blu-ray title at Amazon.com on Sat.

The Star Trek Three Disc + Digital Copy Blu-ray SKU this week ranked as the No. 1 title in Amazon's Blu-ray division based on strong advanced sales.

The set currently holds a pre-order price of $27.99, down from the $39.99 MSRP. It will be released on Nov. 17.

Released in May 2009, Star Trek generated $379 million worldwide box office ticket sales.

Amazon this month began holding a new 'Buy 2 Get 1 Free' Blu-ray disc sale.
