Mrs Field, 58, of Lockwood Bank,
Epworth, signed herself up for the larger-than-life actor's challenge last year.
After months of gruelling training including a training session with a former soldier, and lot's of charity tin shaking, Mrs Field took part in the four-day trek along the magnificent Inca Trail in Peru.
She joined Brian, a veteran explorer who became a patron of the charity in 2007, and a group 46 people for the breathtaking hike last month.
Mrs Field said: "The trip was a very emotional experience and was by no means an easy task.
"The walking and terrain was not a problem with my training that I did in UK, but the effects of altitude proved to be a great strain on personal resources and called for every ounce of self belief.
"I almost crawled the last few meters but pure determination and the cheering on of other trekkers who with their support helped me on."
The route covered different terrain from high desert plateau to tropical Andean rainforest before reaching Machu Picchu – the 'Lost City' of the Incas, and one of the world's most fascinating and important archaeological finds.
