We're showing a variety of films this semester. Besides summer movies there will also be a 90s series and a zombie festival.Tyger Glauser, UT Film Committee adviser

Student anticipation has caused the committee to also schedule two screenings, at the same times, on Saturday.

"The interest has been out of control," Tyger Glauser, UT Film Committee adviser, said. "Right now we're worried about selling out."

The Film Committee offers screenings of recent blockbusters as well as older films the student population would appreciate viewing.

Student tickets cost $2, while non-student tickets cost $3.

In addition, the organization is also accepting new members and encourages all students to apply. The only requirement is a love of movies.

"We're showing a variety of films this semester," Glauser said. "Besides summer movies there will also be a 90s series and a zombie festival."

The 90s series includes the classics Clerks, Pulp Fiction, and Jurassic Park.

Clerks will be shown Thursday, Sept. 10. Pulp Fiction and Jurassic Parkoccur later in the semester.

Zombie Fest starts in October and will show Night of the Living Dead, theDawn of the Dead remake, and Shaun of the Dead.

Other major films being shown include Angels and Demons, The Hangover, and Funny People.

"We have a great line-up," Glauser noted.
