Paramount Covers Comic-Con Through ‘Star Trek’ Blu-ray

Star Trek” fans who weren’t able to attend the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con International can get a glimpse of what they missed via BD Live.

Paramount Home Entertainment has made available through the BD Live portal of its Star Trek: The Original Series — Season One Blu-ray (disc seven) a tour of the event hosted by David Gerrold, writer of the iconic “Star Trek” episode “The Trouble With Tribbles.”

The videos available so far feature show highlights and interviews, including a conversation with Gary Lockwood, who appeared in the original series episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before.”

Paramount promises more videos will be available in the coming days. More information is available at CBS-BDLive.com.

CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment are also planning another Tribble tribute with the Sept. 22 release of the Blu-ray of the second season of the original “Star Trek.” The season two BD Live portal will include an exclusive interview from David on his inspiration for the Tribbles and his behind-the-scenes insights.
