Simon Pegg, "Scotty" in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, gave an interview to racy weekly British "Lads' mag" Zoo, which was noted on Irish news site Breakingnews.ie. (The Zoo site also currently features a print and audio interview with Jack Black about Year One.)
Pegg said he knows nothing about the plotline of the probable sequel to the smash hit film, but confidently expects there will be one:
"I know the writers are busy thinking about it. I don't really know anything about the story, or if I'm in a bigger role, but I'd imagine we'll be back this time next year. That's not official, but I reckon it's probably about 18 months away from being in the cinema."
Pegg has some great new posts on his website about Paul, now filming in New Mexico, including a link to the production blog for the upcoming movie starring Pegg and Nick Frost. The Paul story: two sci-fi sorts take a road trip in an RV to Area 51, where they meet "Paul," who is, guess what, an alien. Trust Pegg and Frost to make this wicked fun.http://www.examiner.com/x-11230-Star-Trek-Examiner~y2009m7d1-Simon-Pegg-featured-on-Irish-news-site-talks-Star-Trek
